[Episode 130 Thoughts]

Very excited and interested with 5D's "5th" Arc. 130 was a generally decent episode despite being a clip show, well, it seemed more like a summary show.

Though the new opening and ending has everyone excited and panicking, though I notice a lot of the Janime fans seem to be reeling at the fact Yusei gets another upgrade. Poor bastards.

Also, flying Bike Yusei is the best thing ever.

Just when you can't love a series enough, they drag you back in screamin'.

And this gives me oodles and oodles of ideas for RP, when I can sneak those bolt cutters behind Link, Jinn, and Togepi's backs.

Also, Poor poor Carly. She never gets a break.

To me, it sounded like the cast was poking at certain plot points ala Lampshade Hanging. (Yoshida trolling again~) Then again, that's the impression I got from what the characters talked about. Some of the things the twins asked sounded kind of suspicious to me. (I think Aki said she lost her powers because she wasn't feeling bitter in her heart anymore, hrm. :|a)

"Poor bastards." HAHAHAH. My first thought was "Oh snap, Shooting Star took Evangelion Unit-01's wings, AWESOME". Aki and Yusei made me go "They are really hooking up the Martyr and the Lady of Roses, huh?". And my mind was BLOWN by the OP. Seriously, that human!Zone made me jump like heck. BU (I thought it was Paradox for a moment, FFFF.)

And yes, flying Yusei bike. I totally agree. It looked like a phoenix to boot. Hee~eello alchemy symbolism, nice to see you again!

Their faces when Stephanie tripped was priceless. Also, great Mood Whiplash there.

Aha ha. I love the Lady of Roses shtick. And yeah. Home ZONE was a HOLY SHIT QUOTENT MOMENT for me too.

And Phoenix is recreation and picking yourself up, I think, so sign of Yusei gaining even greater power?

Hm, that would make sense. Yusei seemed to hit rock bottom regarding the Zero Reverse (Episode 57, the nightmares, Placido's trolling) but it seems he picked himself up after that. He was "reborn", so to speak, determined to overcome the destiny weighing on his shoulders. Alternately, he is like a Phoenix - he wants to save Neo Domino City to pass it on to the future, saving it from destruction (like a Phoenix building its nest), possibly sacrificing himself in the process (he told Harald he was willing to sacrifice himself if he had to), and die. And thus, the new, safe future would be born from his efforts.
